With the new update limiting email addresses to only one account for online users, we are having so many issues where buyers have multiple logins for their accounts and now cannot be setup that way.
For instance, one buyer buys for company A and company B, they would like separate logins as when they had one login with multiple accounts they were constantly ordering and charging the wrong account. Now with this change, we cannot allow this user to have multiple logins as their email is already assigned to company A.
This happens for churches all the time, as many of their buyers all buy for multiple churches. And even accounts that need to keep tax and non tax orders separate. We have different logins so they can log in under their taxable account using one login, and their non-tac account using another login.
And many of our bank customers, they ask their tellers to place the supply orders, but the tellers don't have emails, so all the email addresses are listed as their purchasing team's email so the purchasing team receives all the email confirmations, etc. but now they cannot be setup that way, and could potentially not received the order confirmation emails which is a necessary piece to ordering online.
With this new setting a lot of our accounts will start having issues, we should have the option to opt into this change. The update requiring a stronger password is great, but the one time email address use is problematic.
Paige,
We are reversing all the changes that came with the strong password, including the email changes. We'll work on a re-design, working with our customers to better understand use cases and do our best to meet your needs. There may be some compromises in the name of security so our customers and yours can rely on sensitive data being secure.
THIS!!! Exactly! not to mention our customers who have 1 user that orders for both local and NED depts and require 2 logins! they do not have 2 different emails so now what? this is creating a huge mess for us at Warehouse Direct as well, we have thousands of customers that have multiple logins!
