ALLOW DEALERS TO DECIDE IF THEY WANT TO SEND THE AUTO-GENERATED EMAIL TO NEW USERS ONCE SET UP ON ECIPLUS

we are no longer able to toggle off the parameter 'email confirmation to customer when account has been created' when adding new users to ECIPLUS the parameter has been set to 'true' as of yesterday with no way for us to change it to false or toggle it off, we are being forced to send them and it is causing huge problems for our customers; we do NOT send the auto-generated emails! we create our own email and send that instead, additionally we don't send the emails directly to the users in a lot of cases; we send a list or an excel spreadsheet we create offline to a purchasing manager for the customer who wants to manage their users their way, now that has been removed and customers are complaining to us. Why are we sending emails directly to their users? this is all quite a big mess that we are not able to resolve ourselves now that this change has been made to ECIPLUS!

    Bernadine,

    We are reversing all that was changed for the strong password updates (including the ability to choose whether you send an email or not for newly created customers etc). For redesign, as we discussed, we'll make sure to find a better way and allow you to control that again. In addition, I'll make sure we communicate and get your and other customers' feedback along the way in design. There may be compromises we all have to make in order to remain secure, but we'll be sure to communicate in advance and work with customers to find a good compromise where we can.

    I agree. ECI decided to take all control on how we handle OUR customers out of our hands. When has the ever been a good idea?
